Recycled Products
Innovative and Eco-Friendly Fabric made from Recycled Materials
Recycling protects natural resources and saves space in landfills as well as saving money. For these reasons, recycled materials, such as plastic bottles, tires, aluminum and glass, are becoming prevalent eco-friendly options in Western society.
For instance, Americans throw away 2.5 million plastic bottles every hour. 86% of these bottles end up in landfills and take hundreds of years to biodegrade. Recycled PET is an innovative and durable fabric that is made from reclaimed plastics bottles. The fabric application is vast C bags, totes, blankets, shoes, belts, etc
Natural Fibers
Natural and Eco-Friendly Fabrics offer a Viable, Green Alternative
Natural fibers are becoming more popular as people seek sustainable options for their eco-friendly lifestyles. Unlike synthetic fibres, such as polyester and nylon, products made from natural fibres, such as organic cotton and wool, bamboo, hemp, flax and legna, are not manufactured with chemicals and dont emit toxins into the air.
Bamboo for example, is an ideal eco-friendly fabric choice for your products C durable, comfortable, and easy to care for. Bamboo has the same luxurious feel and drape of silk and cashmere, but without the added cost. Bamboo plantations are also great in reducing greenhouse gases.
Biopolymers
Environmentally Friendly Plastic Alternative Made From 100% Renewable Resources
Biopolymers are renewable, because they are made from plant materials which can be grown year on year. Ultimately, biopolymers have the potential to cut carbon emissions and reduce CO2 quantities in the atmosphere. Examples of biopolymers include: Cellulose i.e. wood, cotton, corn & wheat, Soy Protein i.e. Soybeans, Starch i.e. Corn, potatoes, wheat, tapioca, & others: Polyesters i.e. PLA & PHA and more.
For example, Natureworks Ingeo© PLA is an environmentally friendly plastic alternative made from field corn. Being corn-based, this coating has no additives, is non-allergenic and has food contact approval in North America and multiple other countries. Natureworks Ingeo© PLA is virtually indistinguishable from other plastics in terms of functionality, but boasts distinct benefits; its compostable, requires 30-50% less fossil fuel resources than traditional plastics and generates 68% less in greenhouse gases.
